The focus of Dr. Miltenberger’s practice is to provide quality preventive care to his patients and to deliver comprehensive health care for their chronic illnesses. Dr. Miltenberger cares for patients with many common health problems, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, heart, lung, gastrointestinal and all internal medical infirmities as well as alternative treatments.

Dr. Miltenberger has been in private practice for over 20 years.  He is committed to building long-term patient/provider relationships. Dr. Miltenberger works closely with specialists in the area and hospital affiliates to ensure that his patients’ health needs are met.

Procedures routinely performed in our office include laboratory services, complete physical examinations, EKG’s, pulmonary testing, vaccinations / immunizations, and the treatment of minor skin problems.

Because we are involved with many aspects of alternative medicine we, as an Internist, are acutely aware of the ways that different parts and systems of the body interact. With this broad clinical knowledge we try to encourage my patients to become personally involved with and responsible for their own good health practices, while we deliver cost effective patient-centered medical care with compassion and concern.

Dr. Miltenberger also specializes in the treatment of Opiate Addiction (including Heroin, Methadone, Oxycontin (oxycodone), Vicodin (hydrocodone), and other similar Painkillers. Our office offers a confidential, safe treatment program, without hospitalization, using the FDA-approved drug Buprenorphine (Suboxone and Subutex).

Dr. Miltenberger is a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. He is certified by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) to use Buprenorphine for opiate addiction treatment.

Buprenorphine is a synthetic opiate agonist medication that was approved by the FDA in 2002 for the treatment of opiate addiction. Treatment with Buprenorphine (Suboxone and Subutex) is not right for everyone with an opiate addiction issue. This determination can only be made after a thorough evaluation from a physician certified to use the medication.
